In A Nutshell
Who am I? I was recently called a “mysterious gentleman”; It made me chuckle - I’m no mystery. I’m a caring, kind, thoughtful, ethical, a gentle man with a splash of intellect and many interests. Been called creative and quick-witted.
I’ve jumped out of a plane – (after saying ‘wait, I changed my mind’ and then they threatened to throw me out of the plane); White-water rafted; Hot-air ballooned; skied; loved my 20-yo shih tzu dog so much I named him after me – Bonkers.
Being Italian, I've learned to cook early in life. Cooking is fun and a form of meditation... I took a course learning how to make pizza at home. I previously attempted making pizza from a NYTimes recipe and my kitchen walls had tomato stains for a week. Yes, my OCD commands I use a recipe, but I've been told by several friends my cooking is almost restaurant quality...emphasis on ‘almost’.
I'm an ongoing student of appreciating Opera at Lincoln Center and look forward to the 2019-2020 season where I’ll see at least six operas; mostly Verdi, Rossini and Puccini. I enjoy their romanticism, intensity and succumb to their compelling fatalistic endings.
My favorite music after Opera is 'Swing'. I also enjoy Classic Country – [there’s a history why]. Come say hi!
The One I Am Looking For
I'm seeking someone who occasionally leans toward enjoying the pleasures of home, while I cook and light the candles. I enjoy traveling to classic places. Sicily, Naples, Rome, Venice and France are searching for a place on my calendar this year. However, I'm not looking to travel the seven seas nor exploring the Serengeti Plains from atop a pachyderm. In addition, a quick long weekend for lunch in Quebec, or an adventure in a rugged cabin with a fireplace while reading and cooking all weekend is most acceptable.
I'm looking for a relationship. A relationship where I eventually see that special person 2 or 3 times a week and speak on the phone often, with the thought... there's yet more. I’m looking for my last love. She’s near. I can smell her hair and feel her warm searching eyes. Come, say hi!
I live on the UES and prefer a relationship with that special person also living in Manhattan.
A wink is problematic, please message a few words.
I'd Just Like to Add
I enjoy attending the 92nd St. Y, experiencing various conversations relevant to political or scientific discourse.
Then again, taking a leisurely walk through Central Park and listening to the birds flirting with each other is a special treat. Also watching a squirrel find his next meal then look over his shoulder wondering where she went. Yes, such beauty just a few blocks away. What a vision and gift from Olmstead and Vaux. Look forward to strolling hand and hand again – looking over at a special person and smiling. Ever so enticing.
I have a tendency to reach for tissues while watching romantic or uplifting movies.
Reading is one of my preferred past-times...
Also reading and salivating over 'The Food Lab' by J. Kenji Lopez-Alt. Not enough time to read. I've petitioned for 26-hour days - no one listens.
One of my favorite poems -'IF'. I struggle but try to live its virtuous values every moment.
